    This is going to sound crazy, on the Daily Challenge, it starts off with the strings being strummed, but no notes being played. Any idea how that’s being done, no matter how tight I hold the fret board, I still get notes. How are they getting that sound?

    He lightly puts his fingers across all the strings and then strums or chucks with the right hand. If you lay more fingers lightly across the strings, the muting of the strings is more effective. It’s fun to strum rhythms with the strings muted like that.

    Hi @Noncenx The trick is to very lightly place your hand or fingers over the strings to create the muted effect. The harder you fret, the more string notes will chime out, so ease up a bit until they’re muted.
