Hello Barry ( @bsevett ),
Welcome to TAC. The best guitar instruction site on the whole web in my opinion. So that’s the first bravo, for finding and joining TAC. (Small Win. 😁)
It sounds like you are actually doing very well. You are already having fun. That’s the number one ingredient to making progress, so bravo to you again. (Small Win 2 😃)
Then, you’re “not keeping up with the challenges”, but you did some looking around in the forum and you found the advice to “just keep progressing forward”. That’s actually 2 separate bravos. First, you used the community. Bravo. (Small Win 3 😄) Then you learned that we are simply “trying” and not “mastering” the lessons. One of the most difficult concepts for us to get when we first get here since it is so unusual but also one of the most important as our fun and steady progress is dependent on that attitude. So that’s a really huge Bravo. (Small Win 4 😍)
Then, before anyone comes over to your thread and gives you a reply, you find the “How to Get Started” video and decide you will go through the “30 Days to Play” course. That is another huge Bravo. (Small Win 5 😎)
But we’re still not done. I still have to answer the actual question. So, using the community to ask a question is itself a big win because that will allow you to benefit the most from TAC. So Bravo. (Small Win 6 😊)
Then, of course, there’s the part where you already guessed, correctly, what the answer to your question is. Yes, you have to “bookmark” every lesson you want to get back to. Except here, it’s called “favorite”-ing. You hit the little “heart” icon below and to the right of the lesson window. When you click on the down arrow beside you profile name, you will have an option to go to your “favorites”. So, Bravo for that. (Small Win 7 😉)
Have fun and continue participating in the forum community. We’d love to continue seeing your progress. Thanks for letting us know what’s going on at this time.
MG 😀
