    Hi TAC family

I think we can all agree the last 2 years has been trying to say the least .

So on my birthday ( Tuesday 2nd of march ) I was surfing the usual on the net and Tony’s add popped up so I had a look at what he had to offer.

So right then and there I decided to enroll as I’ve been trying to learn to play guitar since about 1999 with no success and much frustration having spent thousands on several other so called guitar programs that just couldn’t keep me interested or motivated to get out the guitar every day.

So since I’ve joined tac (4 days ago ) instead of watching the news surfing the web and getting depressed about the world issues I decided to stop turning the tv on and surfing YouTube news and instead get the guitar out and log in to TAC .

I started the 30 day course which I’ve decided I really need at this point due to the fact that Toni has taught me more about technique in 4 days than anything else I’ve tried .

So if I can stay as motivated as I am now that 1 year mark looks achievable for sure.

Now I get up in the morning with my coffee fire up the wood stove and head to my guitar room to log in and play for 20 minutes minimum before getting ready for work and again after dinner at night for at least a hour is now my new routine. I’ve found this routine a lot more enjoyable and hec I’m learning to play finally who new.

So thanks Tony and TAC for this new inspiration so far I love it and for that TAC is my big win this week.

    Thank you all

    Quinner.

Hey @quinner – Welcome to the TAC community and for your intro. Glad you found us and hope you’re having fun in the 30 days to play course. I never picked up a guitar until 1 1/2 years ago, and I’m shocked at how far I’ve come in a short amount of time. Funny how the minimum of 10 minutes/day turns into an hour of practice. TAC is great at teaching foundational skills and in building a strong practice routine.

Don’t be a stranger to the forums, and continue to have fun and enjoy your journey.

Hi @quinner , welcome to TAC. Not sure how I would have navigated the last two years without music/guitar. I venture to guess it would have been way worse for me.

No worries about the one year mark. Just make sure you take the guitar off the wall or outta the case or outta the corner and have some fun with it every day. Tony is a great guide and just messing around with the lessons without having to think about how to guide myself in the right direction has kept stagnation at bay. Have faith in the process: it has worked for me better than I could have imagined. I used to try to figure out the method to the madness but that only got in my way. Now I just do it and enjoy the heck outta every pluck, pick, and strum.

@quinner thank you for the motivation. 4 days in and I’m still pretty motivated too and grateful for Tony’s ability to connect with me online. prioritizing these lessons and really getting my money’s worth have been a welcome surprise, as I too try to navigate the current state of affairs. thank you for TAC indeed. forward!
