New starter. Hi all
Posted by Nick B on March 19, 2022 at 11:52 amJust started the 30 days to play today. Also had a go at today’s pinky challange. Any advice on how i go about using this course in a structure kinda way please?. Do i just do the 10 mins daily challenge once, then the next day move onto the next challange?.
thanks all

Welcome to the TAC community @nick.budgen1@btinternet.com ! Glad you found your way here. Your 30 days to play should cover the minimum 10 minutes per day. Try not to get too hung up on the lessons. It’s all about practice, not perfection. Mark a lesson complete after 10 minutes. You can spend more time on it as needed, but move onto the next days daily challenge when it becomes available. If you really like something and want to save it for later, click the small heart at the bottom right of a video, and it will be saved to your favorites.

Welcome. I’m fairly new here as well. I thought the 30 days to play was pretty straight forward to follow, and @Loraine offered excellent advice. I got kind of lost after I completed the 30 days to play. However the very helpful folks in this group helped guide me. You will get a lot of great advice and feedback here. Enjoy, and I look forward to hearing of your progress.

@skyman , I can relate to what you said. I did the 30 days and then it was like…. well, now what? I think with the update they did last year it made the site easier to get around. With that being said, I would highly recommend the 5-day routine challenge. It explains the daily challenges.

@Nick , if you can do more than 10 minutes, that fine. Don’t over do it since you are just starting out. This week was all pinky week, usually the challenges are a little more structured than that. I would recommend doing the 5-day routine challenge starting on a Monday. Tony explains just what the daily challenges are. Good luck. One more thing…… if you can’t finish a challenge in 10 minutes, that’s fine. Click ‘completed’. I would select the favorite button and you can go back later and try again. Good luck.

That’s so kind of you all for your helpful reply’s, thank you. I’ve actually been trying to learn on and off for about 18 months now but getting no where really and found other on line free courses not for me so came here as i wan’t to learn the guitar to help through difficult times. Being able to play basic chords and maybe write my own simple songs will mean so much to me and i’m not going to give up trying lol.
I’ve started the 30 Days to Play just to refresh my memory and i’m also going to do the daily 10 min challenges to start with. I notice you all mention the 5-day routine challenge, may i ask where i find this please?.
thanks so much and enjoy your practice
