Cinco de Mayo was 2 year anniversary. Started TAC in the early dark days of the pandemic, with no sports, theater, live music etc. The counter rests at 542 practice sessions. I’m very pleased with the tools in the TAC tool kit. I’m now comfortable with chord changes, finger picking, cross picking. Funny how a 10 minute commitment daily becomes a 30-45 minute session before you know it. Looking forward to building song skills, unfortunately not a TAC strong point, and getting more comfort with soloing. Can I call myself a guitar player yet? Somedays yes, some no. On we go with the journey. Cheers.

Congrats! I’m just a couple days behind you. My 2nd TACiversary was May 8. I echo everything you have said and have been struggling with whether to continue with TAC or try another platform that also has the option of learning tunes — preferably rock. (I’m not at all into bluegrass!) But I am continuing because I feel like I’m on the verge of a breakthrough! And I like Tony’s teaching style!

Hey there @everydayamy . My advice at this point would probably be to stick with TAC for the consistency of practice and getting mastery of techniques then just go onto YouTube and look up free song lessons there. I do lots of the song lessons by Angela Petrilli and they are brilliant ( I just learned a Foo Fighters and a Led Zepellin track). But I could only get them down because of the techniques I was learning in TAC. That said, I’m sure if TAC works its magic we will all eventually be good enough to cut the apron strings and say “Thanks and Adios”. Only you know where you are on your own journey well enough to decide if you can play everything on TAC to a level that you no longer need it. Best of luck. Darren 🤟😎🎸

Well done Doug, another milestone! The TAC way of learning really does wheedle its way into you over the months and years and like you, I set aside the 10 minutes then find myself still playing half an hour to an hour later. Interesting the point about songs. I either write my own, based on the lessons of the week, or just pop onto YouTube and pick a free lesson. YouTube works well for one off song tuition, not so well for the guitar technique and consistency that TAC brings. I hope yr 3 goes well and you keep that counter ticking towards 600. Onwards and upwards! Darren🤟😎🎸

@drbrow congratulations. You are a total player. Call yourself a player for sure. Now in the next year you can work on becoming the player of your intention. On with the journey and I wish you fast easy progress.
