Country Fun with Scones VOM
A VOM is an opportunity to play for others, and practice for when real world opportunities allow us to supply music to real people. The VOM’s have evolved from initial Covid necessitated gatherings, to organized opportunities to supply and hear the music we love, and are learning.
One of these is based in England, Scones VOM, and evolved out of the TAC Jam Group that existed in England and Europe. It meets virtually over Zoom ever other Thursday at 7:30 British Time (2:30 PM Eastern time). Today, I had the opportunity to offer a fun Rodney Crowell Song, “She’s Crazy for Leavin'” which is a lot of fun.

The other VOM’s happen Every Sunday at 2 Eastern Time; Every Saturday at 8:00 PM Eastern Time; Friday’s at 8:00 pm Eastern Time (some are not VOM’s but teaching clinics or discussions), and Wednesdays at 1:00 pm Central Time, and every Week Day at 6:00 AM Central time.

Really enjoyed this when you played it last night. There were a lot of fabulous songs all round to be honest and I would echo all your comments about getting along to a VOM if you can. Even if you don’t feel confident enough to perform, it is great to meet everyone, especially the transatlantic friends it would be somewhat tricky to meet in person, covid or no covid! 🤘😎🎸
