Mad World – Albert Gyorfi style
Posted by Cadgirl on June 9, 2022 at 10:33 amThis is my 2nd video that I have posted. Hopefully I did it correctly. Albert Gyorfi plays the song on the 8th fret. Glad I purchased a 12 fret guitar with a cut-away or I don’t think I would have enough room for my fingers. Enjoy.

Hi @Cadgirl , it seems your YouTube video may be marked as private. When I clicked on the link to watch, that was the message I received from YouTube.

Hey, thanks a lot @Kitman. It took me awhile to figure out how to change it but it should be ok now.

Thanks @Kitman. I had learned to play it off of the Jerryguitar site. It sounded ok, but it wasn’t really what I was looking for. I started googling different artists that played the song and ran across Albert Gyorfi. Really unique style he has. I am just a copy cat 🙂
Thanks again.

That was SOOOO nice @Cadgirl 🤩👏👏👏 “Really Truly”👍 Great finger pickin’ in such a small space😱 I really enjoyed listening😎 I think🤔 you played that wonderfully😃 Thanks for taking the time to post😘

ha ha ha @Bill_Brown , the small space sometimes works in your favor. All the frets I need are in that small space. I think if I had bigger fingers It might be a toughie thou. Thanks for your compliment.

Thanks @stevieblues . I’ve been practicing it for months now. I really like the song so that makes it a little easier to learn. 🙂

Wow! That was an amazing performance @Cadgirl ! I play a similar version but not as complex as this. It sounds amazing capoed up!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@Christopher_H , It’s not as hard as it looks. It just sounds hard. I would never had thought to capo on the 8th fret!! Gives it a whole new feel. Thanks for your comment. ,

Wow. After all your comments and encouragement since I joined TAC last year I don’t think I had twigged that I’d never heard you play. This is beautifully played. Thanks for sharing and let’s hear more! 🤟😎🎸

That was very nice. Very pretty to listen and you were very smooth.

Thank you very much @Barry2021. I want to start recording some of the songs I can play to baseline my playing. I’ll try to get up one a month.

I read all the nice comments before I listened to your piece so I heard it the first time with high expectations. And those expectations were exceeded. Really pretty work and well executed. A few more listens confirmed my first impression. Nice work. Keep it up. A song a month will be a treat for us Guitar Geeks on line. @Cadgirl

@albert_d , that will mean 12 songs for the year! OMG!! and it’s the beginning of July! I have to start buckling down and learning new songs. I like to listen to the ‘play for us’. Sometimes there is a song that I thought was impossible to learn. But, watching someone actually play it made me realize that it was doable.
