Implemented Plan B for My Routine – Off to the Billy Strings Comcert! 😎
Posted by Kitman on June 15, 2022 at 9:15 amTonight I will be attending the Billy Strings concert near Dayton Ohio – that one is a big win for me ! 🤩🤩🤘.
My other win is shifting my guitar routine to the morning and fitting the Daily Challenge in with my regular morning routine. Implemented my back up plan! 😎

I watched a Billy Strings concert on YouTube not too long ago, and wow, he and his band were amazing! Think I’d need several more lifetimes before I could hope to play a tiny fraction of what that young dude can pull off😆 Good for you seeing him live!

He is super talented @GerryB56 , that is for sure. I’ve read some interviews in which he said he started playing bluegrass with his dad and friends when he was 4. If you get a chance to see him in concert I recommend it. The entire show was tremendous!

Not sure I’ll get much chance up here in Canada to see him, but we do get plenty of very talented lesser known musicians coming through on a regular basis. You likely already know him, but if not, I’d suggest checking out Sturgill Simpson and his band. The mandolin player on his 2 recent “Cutting Grass” cds, Sierra Hull, is also incredible!

@Mrfredsporty and @Cadgirl , the concert was really awesome. Three plus hours of Bluegrass bliss by Bill Strings and his band. The venue was really great as well – a 4,200 seat outdoor venue with all seats covered by roof. Not a bad seat in the house! I was in awe 😲 🤩 . The place was rockin’ and everyone had a great time! 🤘😃. Definately recommend going to see hm if you get the chance.
PS. @Cadgirl my initial attraction to Tony P and TAC was to learn flat picking so I could play some blue grass. Through TAC’s methodology I am progressing – however I have found that the top speed I can achieve right now is the absolute slowest speed for bluegrass! 😱 I’ll keep pickin’ and practicing! 😅
