  Somewhere in Time… in the VwA 06/26/2022

  The theme for today’s VwA (Virtual Open Mic with Altitude) was to share what we consider to be a beautiful song. I offered up Somewhere in Time by Dave Alvin – it brings to me the feeling of those no longer present in body however always present in spirit. Hope you enjoy it! I would very much welcome your feedback and ideas!

  Where does the virtual open mic come from?

    Hi @Gere C and thanks for listening to and watching my post.

    The Virtual Open Mics (VOMs) we’re started a few years back by some TAC folks that wanted to continue to get together and play music and talk guitars – COVID 19 was making that very very difficult. They set up a site called JustMusicGeeks.com that supports a community of folks that use Zoom to get together via the web to play guitar, talk gear, etc. The folks involved are very inviting and supportive. All skill levels are welcome!All skill levels are welcome! Folks that are playing have a range of skill from outright beginners to people that are actually making albums. Also, you can attend to just enjoy the music and fellowship if you are not ready to play.
