To Albert (Cover of Cathy Belleville Song)
To Albert was first written and performed by Cathy Belleville – a very talented song writer, performer and fellow guitar geek. I met Cathy in the Just Music Geeks (JMG) forum where a number of TAC community members, as well as others, to participate in Virtual Open Mics (VOM) and just geek out in acoustic guitars.
Cathy wrote “To “Albert” during the COVID lockdown when discussing the space program with her husband. Cathy was doing a bit of Wiki research and there it was: the story of Albert! Check it out for yourself

Now that’s what I call an awesome performance @Kitman 👏👏👏😘 Your tempo, playing and vocals were really smooth👍🎸 And your friend’s mandolin playing was spectacular too🤩 Isn’t it nice to play live with someone else joining in🤔 How old is that video and did you make it before you joined TAC?

Hi @Bill_Brown and thanks for the feedback and encouragement! That performance was recorded just a a week ago, so it is pretty fresh (I joined TAC in May 22). Yes, It is loads of fun to jam live with someone(s) for sure. My Buddy and I “Mandolin Dave” get together at least once a month and jam out.
If the performance made you want to get a pint and sing along, then song and performance accomplished exactly what we were going for and what the song writer, Cathy B, intended as well. It is a fun song t do with a crowd – with the audience participation – especially if they are a pint or two in! 😃😃😃🤪😎🎶🎸
