Wow, lucky you, @GerryB56 , that you get to compare your budget to the price of a horse. You should jump on this Pogreba as it’s under $5000 for an instrument that is totally unique and has amazing tone and amazing playability. This is the first really expensive guitar I would buy if I could. And it’s not really a very expensive guitar like $15,000 and up. But with the number of quality guitars at lower price points, I just don’t see why I would spend thousands of dollars even if I had it. But the Pogreba is so unique, beautiful, and functional that the reason to buy it is just obvious. It’s one of a kind. Even his other resonators don’t sound like or look like each other. And a completely hand built guitar for under $5000? That’s just unheard of.
I don’t know if I want to thank you for posting this or not @jumpinjeff . It’s been a long time since I had bad GAS, and never for a guitar this expensive. The most expensive guitar I’ve ever craved is around $3000. Over that and I just think it gets ridiculous. All I can say is WOW! Well, that and I’ve never in my whole life been in a position to spend that kind of money on a guitar. So, I’m safe.
