  • Marisa D-Playing Out! A Thousand Years

Posted by Marisa on August 20, 2022 at 7:44 am

Hi guys! I just finished a 3 week run opening up for a very popular band on LI! It was quite the experience and learning curve…First week I did 5 songs myself and 2 with the band! Then, I did 8 songs, and this past week 11! If you can play in a crowded bar, you can play anywhere! 😂✌🏼

Wonder if you did the Janis “Me and Bobby McGee? What type of band did you open for? Wow, starting off with a three week gig is very bold AND impressive!

The band does 70’s rock. Since they play out all weekend, they wanted to start weekend with a mellower vibe and did mostly acoustic. I did Me and Bobby McGee the first weekend, with the band, cold. It went well, for the most part. Unfortunately, I do not have video that first week, but the band did the night live on FB
