    If you play e minor pentatonic you can see easily that by just hitting a few notes on the scale you can do a run to a g chord, c aminor and d and it sounds cool. I could actually for the. first time visualize the notes.

    Yes @Mrfredsporty , E minor is the relative minor of G major. A relative minor is the minor chord that occupies the 6th scale position of a major scale. So you should also be able to play the C & D major chords within the E minor pentatonic scale and get it to sound nice. The A minor, B minor and E minor chords should work in there as well. The E minor and G major scales have the same notes/chords, they just start in different scale positions.
