FBW progress
Just completed week 2 of FBW 2.0 and I have to sing its praises! It is a masterful presentation, and I am SO happy that I overcame an initial hesitation to buy the course. Though I have been studying some of this material from other sources, few of them are able to help me understand the concepts as easily as Tony makes it. I can think of only 2 very minor complaints so far – please give us the answers to the quiz sections, and maybe make the questions a wee bit more challenging by offering at least 2 plausible answers. Though I do enjoy Tony’s wacky sense of humour😆 Next chapter is the CAGED system, which I have been struggling to learn with other teachers, so I’m eagerly anticipating Tony’s lessons!

Fantastic! I’m halfway that same week 2- (“figuring-out chords by ear”)- and, like you, I am LOVIN’ IT!!!
I also had been studying other sources, but agree Tony’s method cuts through others’ fluff BS, and gets it right to you– but in a calm, fun manner.
Just for sh*ts and giggles, I’m taking the FBW-one course right along with the FBW-two.
Someone else mentioned this somewhere, but I do wish there was some sort of lead-in count- (“one-and-two-and-three-and-four……)- when he’s playing those videos when you’re tryin’ to figure out those keys & chords. But—- It’s ALL good!
I am SOOOOO glad I got the FBW course…. WOW- have there been lightbulb moments!!!

Glad to hear you and others are as enthused about FBW as I am, oldcoach! My biggest light-bulb moments have been learning how to determine the chord matrices, and discovering that *hallelujah* I really can develop the skill of finding keys and chords by ear!! TAC (and FBW) is easily the best investment I’ve made so far in my guitar learning journey.

Awesome @GerryB56 👏👏 I have one answer for you about the quizzes – do it again – if you didn’t get them all correct that time through. And you already know which answer(s) you got wrong – finding a key or note by ear – because those were the most challenging questions. So try it again and when you get to the most challenging questions – make sure you take the time to listen to the recordings – over and over – until you’re sure of the answers (hint: you have only 4 choices), so try each choice and see if you can eliminate some of them and keep in mind the choice you made previously may have been wrong.
Hoping the best of outcomes for you in the week 2 quiz and hold on to your seat while going into week 3🤯 because Tony’s going to lay that subject out like no one else can, giving you the path to see the fretboard like you’ve never seen it before!
