@1967kerbygmail-com – I think many of us have been in the same situation you find yourself in. When I first signed on 2.5 years ago, I found myself getting very frustrated by my inability to play most of the daily exercises despite spending much more than 10 minutes working on them. I remember feeling very guilty clicking the complete button after not being able to even come close to executing the exercise with any kind of competency.
Just be patient and it will start to come, albeit slowly at first, and then gradually better. At some point you will find that when you try to play a song or something else new, it will start to come along much easier than it did pre TAC. This is the exercises paying off.
BTW, those same exercises will reappear down the road a year or so and you will find that now you can actually put a dent in something that was not possible a year earlier.
Guitar takes time and patience. Hang in there – it will get better.
