What was replaced by your practice?
Posted by Timbothirroul on February 18, 2023 at 2:43 amI practice after dinner. So nightly TV viewing has made way for my guitar journey.
Win-Win right?
So what did you use to do that has been replaced by your guitar practice?

You guessed it. More TV. I still watch too much. It’s the glowing stone that enraptures all the sailors who gaze upon it to the point they forget to sail the ship until it runs aground.

My passion for guitar and the time spent working on the great music puzzle replaced, Ceramics, Painting, Reading (I have not read a book in years unless it was about guitars), Car collecting. I think all those things may have been a place marker, holding my time so I would be ready to dive headlong into playing guitar. Guitar is now my everything and I am happy.

I used to read a lot and watched true crime show. I haven’t read a book in over a year, and I got rid of my cable 1 1/2 years ago. When aim not playing guitar, I’m either drawing , going to concerts, (occasionally painting) or working.

I used to be a big gamer… Not played anything since I picked my first Guitar up and started to Guitar, Sing & Write… Of note I could buy a new Lowden every year on what I was spending gaming… Frightening that…! (Don’t tell the wife…!)

I gave up social media which I replaced with guitar and reading—leisure time much better spent!
