I was able to perform three songs at a variety happening at a tribal house here in Ketchikan Alaska I was in front of about 150 people. They plugged in my acoustic Koa GS mini guitar and placed a mic in front of me. I sang and strummed Amarillo by morning, I can still make Cheyenne and White Bird. This was all made possible, by God, Tac and VOM’s. It was a wonderful experience. I did not play as well as I practiced but played better than I feared. Thanks for all your support.

That’s so inspiring @Dirk_R . I’m so glad that you shared this experience with us. And of course, I’m really happy for you. This is a huge step along your guitar journey. Keep on truckin’ and strummin’.

Dirk – what an accomplishment! Thats a big audience and I bet they loved every minute of your performance. I was so impressed watching you perform those songs on the VOM’s and they were solid ! I hope you were able to get some video of your performances for us to see and hear. Congratulations. (PS – I bet your granddaughter was pretty proud as well – I hope she got to see you perform)

    Dirk_R–

    Wow, that is awesome.

You must’ve been pretty cool-headed about it DURING the performance to clearly remember how well you did….. a big win just in itself.

Man, I hope someday to be able to muster up that kind of confidence and courage.

Thanks for sharing– it kind-of “pulls the rest of us up” a notch. This is great stuff!!!!

Thanks for all the comments, I guess when I analyze the reason for posting the small win part of the motivation is looking for atta boy’s nice to think about it being an inspiration. And as I think about that I believe that is why Tony wants us to post small wins. Thanks again.
