Started the membership with very basic guitar skills. I’m now three weeks in and looking for guidance…

Do you suggest doing each new daily challenge, even though you haven’t mastered the previous days/weeks each month?

My concern is that I’m not getting the satisfaction of mastering a certain skill/challenge before moving on. But I also don’t want to miss out on the upcoming ones before they disappear at the end of the month! Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Hey @avandewater1gmail-com and welcome to the TAC community! When I first started, I had absolutely no experience on the guitar. I did the 30 days to play, the 6 chords, and stretching before I began the dailies, but everyone is different and this is your journey, so there’s no right or wrong way to approach the lessons.

With the dailies, practice for a minimum of 10 minutes and mark the lesson complete. You can still practice it, but the goal is progress, not perfection. Don’t shoot for mastering the skills. You’ll see skills reintroduced as time goes on, and the lessons rotate back around about every 8 months. I guarantee that your abilities will improve doing this. If you particularly like something or want to revisit it, hit the heart in the lower right of the video to favorite it. The video will be saved under your profile in Favorites

    Have fun!

Hello! I agree with all the good info Loraine has posted. When I started TAC last year, the Daily Challenges were good, but it felt like a losing battle.

Soooooo, I repeated the 30 Days to Play and the Getting Started lessons again.

Don’t be discouraged and keep at it!

Dust off those rusty strings just one more time…. 🙂
