Missed last week’s last 2 lessons
Posted by je4 on July 3, 2023 at 9:54 amHi fellow TACies,
I missed last Thursday’s and Friday’s lessons. Was really loving that country style.
Didn’t intend to start a new month until had finished the last one, but there’s technology for you…it happened. Is there any way I could get access online to those sessions, or could someone email me the printed tab sheets please.
Thanks, Jane

I too was away and missed June 29 & 30 daily’s. It is rather harsh to not be able to see the schedule in order to get the name of the challenge. If that were so, it would be possible to get them off another members profile.
Can anyone let us know the names of June 29 and 30 daily’s?

@je4 & @JeffM.22 I just started taking a screenshot or saving the menu page as a pdf. I should be able to get you the names of your missed days, and I’m pretty sure I saved all the pdfs, so I’ll try to send them to you. I favorite all the videos, and you can click on my profile and go to my favorites and click on the video you want. It may take me a bit to find and send.

Thank you Loraine, you are a GODSEND! I was in the middle of mastering “Life Sentence” from last Friday when June turned to July and the lesson disappeared! I was able to retrieve it from your Favorites. I can’t believe they started doing this. Aaargh!

Shawn, glad you were able to find the video. Do you need the pdf too?

@je4 @JeffM.22 Here are the pdfs from the 29th and 30th. I wasn’t able to find the list of lessons that I thought I saved, but I still had the pdf’s from last week open, so these should be correct. You can find the videos by going to my favorites under my name. the lessons will be under Rhythm and Chord Transitions.

There was a short thread a week or so ago about somehow “petitioning” the TAC team to bring back the saving of the Dailies for the duration of the following month- so that members could have a chance to “finish-up” or even just revisit those lessons that go POOF-gone right at the start of the “new month”.
Sometimes life gets in the way, and you just can’t get to them in time. Or maybe you are half-way thru learning that skill a particular Daily is teaching us……. but……. POOF-gone.
Since the change-over to the “new” TAC website, there have actually been quite a few threads- (and most likely also discussions within OTHER threads)- that deal with this very issue alone.
Well, whuddya say, Tony and TAC team? Keeping them around for 30 days after would create a “positive”. To many, it seems, the way it is now, is a “negative”.
Why not?

Thankyou Loraine and everyone. Glad that it wasn’t just me 🙂
To the-old-coach…sometimes life gets in the way and sometimes you just can’t stop playing a special something, and last Tuesday’s lick had me caught completely. Could not ( didn’t want )to stop playing it!
Thanks so much, Jane

I totally get that. The best way I deal with it (now that I have perspective it is way easier) is to remember that the next lesson on the horizon always has the potential to be the new JailBreak. It is a tough concept to embrace but when it comes to the Daily Exercises I hit them and move on. Many of the licks just happen now when I play. Underneath it all there is a fundamental similarity. I tried to figure it out on my own and could not. It took me trusting in Tony as a teacher to get it.
I do have an exception. I will use the monday exercises all week to work on dexterity, flexibility and tension abatement.

Jumpin Jeff, yes totally get what you’re saying. I must be very annoying to Tony’s IT team, I favourite everything and never tick the complete box 🙂 I even found that I already had those missing lessons in my favourites already when I tried to save Loraine’s pdf files…Thankyou Loraine . I just didn’t know their names.
We’ve got to keep moving on, let go of any attempt to remember everything or expect to!
Tony’s teaching is so good, and getting better and better as we go along that me too, stuff is just getting in there and my fingers run away with me, but in a great sounding way so it doesn’t matter, it’s the feeling that counts! (‘Damn the rules, it’s the feeling that counts ‘ John Coltrane)
I’m staying in the open D tuning this week, will go back to those missed ones when back in standard ….was going to say normal but have got a feeling that I’m going to be in this open D for alot of the time 🙂
