Family Jam Finally Happened!
After many false starts (and a bout with COVID) I was finally able to get together with my brother and my cousin for a jam session! It checked two boxes. My brother is a more experienced and better player than me, and my cousin is a beginner. Everyone learned and had a blast.
My wins were being able to transpose songs O had learned in one key to the key my brother knew them in. We worked back and forth to settle on where we could sing best. Used a capo to move other songs into our vocal range, and biggest of all, I could sing and play! I struggle with that while alone, but I guess playing with others and keeping time with them took me out of my head.
