  • I need a day 6 Challenge

Posted by Cindy M on January 8, 2024 at 2:20 pm

I’m new, and I don’t know how to put together the pieces I learned in day 1-5. Is there a play along somewhere of the complete challenge? Is there at least a tab sheet of the complete song? Thanks for your input and directin.

No, I doubt it because that would likely trigger some copyright issues. I’m not an attorney but I suspect that the techniques, licks, scales, chord progressions and transitions are public domain. The full song sheet and whole tab and lyrics are likely someone’s intangible property. But you can see Tony play a chunk or near rendition of a song on Mondays. I like Guitar Tabs from which to pull lyrics and chord progressions.

Day 5 is the complete song. Or at least Tony’s arrangement of the complete song.

Day 4 is sometimes an easier version of the song without all the embellishments.

That being said I have been with TAC for 7 months and I have never learned a song from here that I play. Partly because it was too hard in the beginning and now because I have a different routine for learning songs. (I too use Ultimate Guitar for a lot of my songs).

That’s not say that I don’t find TAC valuable. It teaches me unique techniques that I find invaluable when I go to learn a song.

@miller-cindy-cgmail-com Welcome to TAC. I agree with @Moose408 that the Friday lesson is the complete composition as taught by Tony. It’s his interpretation of the song. I also agree that Ultimate-guitar.com will be the easiest place to get the chords and the lyrics to songs. The songs are transposed by others from watching and listening to an artist play the songs. There are other places to obtain chord and tab sheets, but Ultimate Guitar probably the most popular.
