If You Could Read My Mind
Posted by Marisa on May 21, 2024 at 6:18 amTesting out some new songs with my NEW GUITAR!! Got her this week and still needs a set-up, but you can see the bliss on my face! Plus, I love this song. We will tighten it up and get it gig-ready.

Another great job here as well…thanks for posting this one…

Very nice; well done! That being said……you didn’t say what guitar brand, and I couldn’t see the entire head stock. It looks great. Is that a grand auditorium/grand concert body style? Really enjoyed this.

Hi Phil. How are you doing? This is my Yamaha AC 5R DLX… on it’s first night with me! Lol!

Doing okay! I hope you are also. It looks like that sound box has found a good home.

@Marisa – Sounds “gig ready” to me. Nice tone with your new guitar. Very good harmony vocal blend. Nothing like that NGD feeling!

I remember when this song hit the airwaves, I was 10 at the time and my sisters were obsessed with it. I didn’t get it at first, I was into rock like the Beatles, Cream and the Guess Who. but after a few months I began to like it and 0ver the years since I’ve learned to love Gordon Lightfoot and many other folksy artists like him. He was an amazing song writer!

very nice – I love this song. Definitely needs to be in your set list!

I’ve always loved the line “won’t read the book because the ending is just to hard to take.” Good performance and good “Song for a Winter’s Day”. (Perhaps another suggestion.)

Wow! Awesome, just awesome! Great picking and moving vocals. Gordon would be proud.

Nice job, both the playing and singing. Love the new guitar too.

Wow Marisa…that was great, really liked it! One of Gordon’s best songs I think. Your playing is so good and beautiful singing (both of you:). Love the emotion…your posts are motivating and inspire me to keep on working on my own performances…thanks sister, keep em coming:)
