  • House of the Rising Sun cover

Hi everyone heres my take on the Animals classic House of the Rising Sun. Pretty accessible song to play…open chords and a simple fingerpick roll. Fun to sing also and most folks know it and will sing along. Thanks so much for watching and hope you like it.

    Hello Braden from Ontario Canada!

Love it. Nice picking and vocal as well. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

(I did this song a long time ago for a performance using the some of the normal lyrics mixed with some of the lyrics from Amazing grace… )

Really nice finger picking!! I am yet to be able to maintain a picking pattern for an entire song like you did. I tend to not be able to keep the thumb rhythm going. Good job.

thanks Luther! appreciate you watching and glad you liked it. I know what you mean…even when you get a pattern down its sometimes hard to keep it going without hitting the ditch! Practice practice and more practice:) enjoy the journey my friend and thanks again for tuning in

Well done! Brings back great memories, of my sister playing and the family would gather around and sing! This was on frequent rotation in the late 60’s and 70’s.

Hey Tony thanks so much for watching and your encouraging comments. This was one of the very first songs I learned when I started so its a real good one to put on your list:) The way i play it is pretty simple…basic chords and you could strum or fingerpick…have fun learning it! Ive been inspired by many on this forum, so being able to pay it forward is humbling…good luck with your playing and making music my friend.
