  • Where to go after the “30 day trial”

Posted by Michael D on March 7, 2025 at 11:44 am

I really don’t understand the site. I thought it was a four week rotation of skills with ie: Blues, Chords, Strumming, Soloing. But then, bam no help at all in where to go?? All I see is the Acoustic Challenge different options. I left another site because it wasn’t structured and I seem to be in another one now. Any help figuring out how to benefit would be appreciated. Would also be nice to be able to contact someone associated with Tony.

Wow. Where to begin to respond. First know that there is a chat on the home page. Victoria usually is the one to answer and she is very prompt, 10-30 minutes typically. Here is a link to the Quick Start Guide which gives you a roadmap on how to get started here.

After 30 days the next step is 5 day routine. Then you can move on to the Daily Challenges which are so much more than a “four week rotation of skills with ie: Blues, Chords, Strumming, Soloing”. Every week you cover the 5 core guitar skills: Monday – technique, Tuesday – guitar lick, Wednesday – Improv (soloing/scales), Thursday – Rhythm guitar and finally Friday – Chord transitions. You do this every week for as long as you are in TAC. There are many members here who have been doing it for 5 years, several more than 10 years. They all still find it valuable!

I love this program, I tried a number of other ones as well and TAC is easily the best for it’s structure. Could it be improved? Heck yeah, it sure could but it’s still an excellent value.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the 30 Day Challenge, the Next 6 Chords, and the 5 Day Challenge. As I understand it, from now on I review my favorites but move on to the Daily Challenge. WOW—These Daily Challenges seem like a huge leap from the progression I’ve done. Am I understanding correctly that these Daily Challenges are what I should be following now? Thanks for the help, folks.

Hi @michaelmjdverizon-net welcome to the TAC community. I’m sorry you had difficulty knowing where to go. As you did here, you can always reach out to the community for guidance, and you can reach out through the customer service help button at the bottom the support button and start a chat, and Victoria will get back with you fairly fast.

There are two great places to start. The first is on the left with the icon that looks like a map, which is a Quickstart guide. The other is in the Skills courses, the icon the left which kinda looks like a Flip chart thing. You’ll find <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;”>Learn the Basics Courses, which is a great road map. It covers all the basics of the program. It should guide you from the 30 days to play to the next six chords to the five day challenge which does cover the five different areas that you mentioned and once you’ve got through the basics then the next step would be to start the daily challenges and that’s where you’re gonna see those five areas covered every week, it follows the same pattern.
