Is There Anybody Out There (Pink Floyd cover)
Posted by DiscostewLA on July 20, 2025 at 4:56 pmHey all – here’s another quick one. “Is There Anybody Out There” by Pink Floyd. Always loved this little song. I’m ‘plugged in on this one going through my scarlett 2i2 interface into garageband.

Nice sound. When you said GarageBand I thought you would have added a drop m track. You didn’t and the sound was clean and crisp. I am trying to explore into these recording options myself with Reaper and OBS. It a whole other thing!

Thanks albert_d! I usualyl use a mic so I can get the guitar and vocals in the same take but I figured since there were no vocals with this I’d try to go direct through the pickup. I played around with a bunch of the different GarageBand ‘guitar’ sounds but didn’t really like any of them so I just used the basic guitar sound in garage band and played with the EQ a a litle bit. There’s certainly a lot more to play with once you get something recorded you can do all sorts of fun stuff. But for me now I’m just about getting a simple guitar and vocal track. Rock on!

Hey Stew, that was great. You’re sounding more and more awesome each time I hear you play. I’m so envious you can play finger style. I’m relegated to being a rhythm player, and you are the lead. lol
