How to find the monthly Benchmark songs
Please post the link to the monthly challenge somewhere. I can’t seem to find any search bar.

Hi @mezzok The menu bar is on the left side of the page. If you’re on a phone, it will have 3 horizontal lines at the top,left. To open the menu, just click the 3 bars.
The daily challenge typically opens up when you enter the site. It will sa6 Welcome …. Has a link to Today’s challenge, has calendar to view previous challenges (can only view the current month challenges.” Will then have your stats.
Click on Start Challenge. It will open to that days challenge. The benchmark song will typically be the 1st weeks song. This month, it is American Pie. Click on the month Guitar Routine at the top and it will open to list all the lessons for the month.
There are 4 benchmark songs, Ain’t No Sunshine, Wagon Wheel, Hotel California, and Old Man. Each month will include one of these. The purpose is to compare your progress over time.

Thanks — I just think a link within the forum would be helpful. I find it really hard to find content within the platform, aside from the current week’s content. And there is no search option.

I would suggest you send a recommendation to support. Victoria can pass the recommendation onto the team. If they get enough people saying it’s not user friendly to them, then they would realize a change might be necessary.
Click on the support link on bottom left. Start a chat by sending a message. Victoria will respond pretty quickly.
This is what the forum page looks like to me. I’m on an iPad. The menu is clearly showing. If it’s not showing, there will be the drop down indicated by the 3 horizontal lines. Or the screen that typically opens up when I open the app is the daily challenge. The screen has a clear link to the benchmark forum.

@mezzok : check out the splash page Loraine is showing. At the top you will see the search bar function. I just searched “benchmark” and found many choices. I see it so regularly I almost forget the search bar is there.

That method allows you to search within the forums but this will not return any teaching by Tony. To my knowledge there is no official way to search for lessons (Challenges). There are, however, unofficial channels:
1. the googlesheet by @Moose408 – in my opinion the best way…thanks Moose!
2. you can call up the lesson from the Web by it’s title. You have to know the exact phrase for that to work. I have described this in detail a number of times. I was able to pull up one of these iterations by searching the forums on the word “title”

TAC is the best guitar learning platform, bar none! I firmly believe that it stands alone in it’s design to draw you in daily and provide fun lessons for players and many different levels. That isn’t an easy thing, no 2 players are identical in skill level and in what they find interesting. It would not be hard to be boring for some, but even very good players say they get something out of the challenges.
That said, there is always room for improvement and many active members and newcomers come here with good intentions and offer suggestions. Accessing past challenges is something that comes up very regularly. It’s interesting that Tony & the course designers gave us direct access to lessons going back 6 weeks and deemed that sufficient. There are are requests and questions that are also repeated with regularity.
It would be over the top if TAC had a Knowledgebase. If you don’t know what that is here is an example. They are almost always behind a paywall but sometimes you can get a glimpse of what it looks like. It’s essentially a database of Knowledge. You can see the structure here but in order to get to the articles you have to have valid login credentials:

Too many cooks in the kitchen spoiled my experience. Tony was the chef I paid and my direction of interest seemed to stall my progress, so I got out of the kitchen. It was almost too easy.

Yes — I have been a member for years and love Tony’s lessons. I just don’t get to the platform every day (also have to practise cello!). Thanks for all the suggestions and that Google doc is amazing!

When I go to the daily challenge 30 days to play is still at the top of the screen not the benchmark song?

When you’re new, your home screen may look a little different. Once the system catches up to your status (assuming you have completed the intro lessons 30 Days and 5 Day routine) you should see a link to this months bench mark at the top.
