Make It with You, Bread
Possibly one of my best, but Iwill have to defer to you. I was really happy with how this turned out, but many times I think something is OK and then I listen to it again a week or two later and I’m like why did I ever post that?!
Excuse the longer intro to the song. If you read this, then you can skip the intro of the song. I was trying to explain why my voice was so low annd I have difficulty with higher notes. My vocals are not that great, but they are getting better. I’m working on rebuilding and strengthening my vocal cords with exercises. My vocal cords atrophied from not talking much for nearly 4 years. I was a caregiver, and we were locked in, literally, from the inside and during Covid. My mother couldn’t hold a conversation so there was no conversation whatsoever. It’s the same concept of if you don’t use muscle, you lose it. That’s pretty much what happens with vocal cords if you don’t use it, you lose it and you have to rebuild it back.
I also explained how my mother had spasmodic dysphonia and the vocal cords. They would spasm and be too tight and associated to get botulism injections every 3 – 4 months to loosen the vocal cords. It’s supposed to skip a generation so I’ve always been concerned about my daughter, nieces and nephews, but to my surprise, my older brother ended up having the same issue. He’s been getting injections now for a few years. It’s scary because people can’t understand when you’re speaking because your vocal cords aren’t working correctly
