  1. Wow! I am going over to post this in the #section of the forums. I just returned today via redeye from a week in Salt Lake City. During that week, I had only about an hour of string time (in a guitar store, since I could not take a guitar with me). Before boarding the flight out to SLC last Saturday, I downloaded this complete lesson and I looped few it a few times to learn the tune in my head. When I started learning the tune with hands on the guitar today, you would not believe the progress I made. I spent about 45 minutes working on Big Sandy, and at the end of that time, I was rehearsing with a metronome at 160 bpm and playing it pretty cleanly. I am stoked. This is another bluegrass tune out of the vault where I just might record it with less than 2 hours of woodshed time. I’m going to give it a little rest now and work on it one ot two more sessions before recording it.

  2. I got through this one fairly easily! Will need some repetition to get it up to speed and smoother. Really enjoyed this tune!
    Thanks!
    Todd

    1. Eduardo,

This was one of the earlier lessons and one that we plan on reshooting to include the slower speed. Sorry about that 🙂

      Cheers,
      Tony

  3. Fun tune to play, t’s true.
Strangely I find it easier to learn than Freight Train. But as you say, I must go slowly. For the moment, every time I want to go faster, it’s a crash.

    1. Bernard,

Great work learning this one!!! Keep at it and the speed will come for certain, once that muscle memory locks in you will be flying 🙂

      Cheers,
      Tony
