Finally I can just about keep up with the medium speed, It has been ages. So now I can carry on. I hope nothing else is this hard
Hi Tony thanks for the reply
I do apologize for these questions, but does that mean I have to do 240 notes per min to keep up ?
I am trying to increase the metronome by 10 each time to train my fingers to move faster.
Because if I try against the slow version I just end up losing it totally.
I have been stuck on this all week , and I am not making much progress.
Trying to get these 65 year old fingers to do their job.
Les,
No worries at all. So there are two approaches to working with the metronome (there are many more, but two that I like). You can set your metronome to quarter note or eighth note divisions in this case you can use the tempos I use for the exercises (60-slow, 80-medium, 100-fast). If your metronome doesn’t have the eighth note divisions no worries, you can double the time to get a click for each pick stroke. In this case it would be 120 for slow, 160 for medium, and 200 for fast. I hope this helps 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
Thanks for the reply , I’ll keep at it
I will do it eventually , but I’m not moving on until I can at least keep up with the medium speed .
And I thought Barre chords were hard 🙂
What speed is the slow version at ?
I cannot do it , The best I can do is 160 beats per min. I just cannot get any faster
What I mean is one note per beat.
Les,
The slow version is at 60BPM on the quarter note 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
