Thank you, dr_dave, this is both frustrating and disappointing. However, I won’t “shoot the messenger”; certainly not this one.

I am someone who lives right at the outer limit of “twisted-pair” copper wire broadband transmission capability. I really valued being able to download and watch continuous video rather than disjointed “live” transmission. Disk storage capacity today is simply no longer an issue.

This TAC capability was a major feature for me. Peak time live-viewing will only be feasible when we receive fibre-broadband. It was promised next year, … in 2016 !

It’s rather ironic; I live 35 miles from one of the world’s busiest international air-hubs, London Heathrow, and 8 miles from two of the UK’s major road arteries, M4 and M40. Yet I live with download speeds of 3.7Mb/s with an upload a giddy 700Kb/s.

The irony is I had superior communications technology serving on tours in Afghanistan during 2007, and 2008; …… although the mobile satellite-dishes under my OpCon were almost 5m/ (16ft) diameter towed by 8T trucks … 🤣.

Hey-ho, fibre-optic cable is coming. Until then, as long as there is a will, there will be a way…. 🤔
