Hey Bob. I totally get where your coming from. This has been the main obstacle for me learning the guitar. From a young lad who wanted to play along to my favourite songs to now an older lad who still wants to play those songs. I always wrote it off to having no rhythm and giving up. Recently tho since I’ve joined TAC this has changed to me thinking I’ve never learnt rhythm. Biggest brake through for me has been playing along with Tony and then discovering the metronome. I still can’t play along to those songs but I’m learning so much especially about rhythm that I feel it is coming. I even tap my foot in time to songs as I’m listening to the radio now. So I guess in a roundabout way (I’ve had a few beers😂) I’m saying that rhythm is something that is learnt. Have a go with the metronome and start basic then I think/hope the rest will come
