@DocBob – I have to say I have mixed feelings about the “Live Guitar Parties” moving to Zoom.

I think it is great for those who can attend; I wish I were one of those people, but I have that work thing I do most weekdays. And then there are time differences, people who are TAC members from across the pond, etc. I understand that it would be close to impossible to find a day/time where most active TAC members could participate. I rarely was able to watch the live shows in the past (think vacation or sick days), so I accept this is just the way it is, no reason for me to complain now.

On the flip side, I didn’t like it at all as a replay. The main issue and I get that there is a learning curve for the TAC team and the members, was the replay was hard to watch. 20+- people in little windows (and I have a 27″ monitor, so it’s not like I was trying to make it work on a phone, tablet, or laptop) made it hard to see Tony, who is the person that I am there to listen to. All the other participants distracted me; I say this as an adult who probably deals with ADD. (Maybe, kinda, sort of, wait, was that a squirrel running by?)

If I were to make a suggestion to the TAC team, it would be to only have Tony visible, except when he is talking to another participant, and then it would be good to see the two of them. I understand that the purpose of the Zoom meetings is to have TAC members be active participants; it is a great idea for those that can be there. But, for me watching the replay, I felt like an outsider.

The good news is, it was the first try, there is plenty of time for learning and improvements.
