    Hi, Kim. Thanks for the kind comments and the question, which is a great question. For the improvs, I sometimes noodle around with the scale for up to 30 minutes or so before I find something that I am satisfied with. After I have already established where the scale notes are located, I listen and play along and try to get a feel for something. For some solos, it works in 5 minutes, for others, I may need to work at it more, if it doesn’t work for me. When I do this, I just record and keep going even if I restart the backtrack from the beginning. For this one, I went over different passages for about 20 minutes and then came up with what I posted.
