Hey @Guitargeezer ;
I loved the old TAC forum platform. I don’t see any reason why this forum couldn’t be just as amazing. The transition and then the slow load speeds and finally the length of time to fix the issues put a real dent into the amount the forum was used. Many people, including myself, just gave up. The question I had to ask myself was, am I going to get back up or was the time I used to spend on the forums just wasted time and not worth it? The answer is: here I am putting in my time and effort to contribute to this forum.
As far as the amp:
I gotta tell you, I bought a really good looper; one of the best. It turns out that you really don’t need much from a looper which is why so many very basic and inexpensive loopers are still sold. The second thing is that even if you do want to do more with a looper, it’s strongly suggested to keep it simple at the beginning to learn how to use a looper. So a simple looper function coming with this amp is all a plus; no down side to it.
My amp can do many of the things this amp can do as far as effects, but I’d have to spend as much or more than my amp cost me to get a pedal that functions with it. My looper is a pedal, but amp effects I would have to change manually which means I couldn’t do it during a song without buy the add-on pedal. This amp has it’s own pedal. Some of the best pedals and loopers are made by Boss. I just think the features you get in this thing greatly simplifies the equipment you need all the way up to doing live, professional gigs as Omar does.
Anyway, thanks for the ongoing conversation. I love it.
