Answer 1 is the correct answer @schmiderific , (good catch on your part about the F#). So the rows of the chord matrix are based on the 1st position scale (G) notes. So you continue to build the matrix based on that scale’s (G) notes – not the scale notes of the 3rd and 5th position’s scales.
