1st Year TACiversery
A few days ago I thought: It will soon be a year I have been following TAC. I was right; the next fee was due and I was more than ready to continue. Why?
Well, for one thing TAC has helped me practice pretty regularly. I logged in some 200 times; that makes 4 times a week on average. That is fine with me, considering my very full schedule. And the good thing is: There is room to improve, which I find motivating.
Then I have of course regained some fluency strumming. Practice shows, after all.
What is much more however, I started to finger-pick and to flat-pick. Things I have dreamed of for years and doubted I would ever do it.
I have done a large part of the Fretboard Wizard and used the things learned to write down a tab for a fingerpicking a song I listened to on youtube. Perhaps I should record that one day. Then I could also show you my new guitar I got by following Tony’s good advice. Not only has the process of choosing the right instrument to complement my old Japanese dreadnought by a different instrument been a very interesting one. The good thing is: At the end it was completely clear to me what I was looking for and what instrument I serves my purposes best. The fruit of this: I enjoy taking my guitar and playing day after day after day. She really is calling me to take her out and make music – just as Tony wrote somewhere it should be.
Thank you, Tony, and thank you all for the encouragement you gave me, be it by reacting to one of my few posts, be it by sharing your journey with us all.
