25 Day Practice Streak Comes to an End
I get on a plane tomorrow and so that means 4 days of no practice. I know I’m going to miss it but I consider the previous 25 days a win!

@Moose408 Congrats on 25 days! That is a great win. I’m not sure what your travel entails, but if you’re unable to take your guitar with you, there are still practice that you can do without a guitar. Therefore, you could still continue your streak by logging in every day, and you can air guitar, watch some videos, read posts on the forum and provide some support to others, finger scales, study Fretboard Wizard if you own it, or Google some guitar theory.
If you choose to take the few days off, the guitar will understand and be there when you return. Have a good trip.

Thanks for the ideas. I do plan on studying some music theory. Maybe I’m too rigid in my definition of practice, but I consider learning (like watching Tony’s videos) different than practice. For me practice is when my fingers are on the guitar strings. 😀
Maybe I should be less rigid, but overall it’s just a mental exercise and in the grand scheme of things means little. The important thing is I’m focusing on learning guitar every day.

Good streak. Happens to all of us but the streak is a tool not the master. I broke a streak intentionally at 366 days so it would not rule over me. I will still read theory or memorize lyrics when I don’t have a guitar @Moose408

Interesting. I hadn’t really thought about a streak having control over me. I’ll have to think about that some. I guess I’m not sure what the downside is to trying to keep a streak going as long as it keeps me practicing.

There’s no downside. I use it still. My current streak is 35 days but it is more of an interest and encouragement now. Last time it broke, I was at a music festival with the grandkids. I played that day just didn’t get logged in. I made up the challenge later on the weekend but I was not concerned the streak “got busted”. It is a useful little piece of info and I’m glad TAC provides it @Moose408
