  5 day Blues Challenge in a 7 day streak (plus some)

  It took a while, and I found it difficult but really satisfying, especially the finger picking blues on days 4 and 5! Just got to keep practicing, as I find it hard to get my pinky to fret correctly. I think, after playing the same cheap guitar for 50 years, I need to dig into the retirement fund and get a decent one!

  Awesome win Nick! A 50 year old guitar doesn’t necessarily mean a bad guitar. Many older guitars are aged well and play beautifully. I have a 1973 Guild that sounds and plays great. But, I will never talk someone down from purchasing a new guitar. There’s no better feeling than when you find one that plays and sounds awesome.

    That’s a good point Loraine, and thanks for the reply. I might even look at some pre-owned acoustics that have ‘character’.

  Great win Nick! Sometimes an older guitar just needs a good setup, I also agree that a search for a new guitar is fun whether it be new or used, keep on picking and have fun!

  Congratulations on finishing the 5 day blues challenge! Sometimes a new guitar will put new life into your playing. A used guitar is a good blues guitar I heard. 🎸
