  • 90 playing sessions!

When I logged in this morning, I saw the “90 sessions”. It feels like a milestone! My 90-day goals when I signed up to TAC were humble:
    1) “Play the guitar(s) every day instead of having it gather dust in the corner.” Both of my guitars are getting regular attention, and I play at least one of them every day.
    2) “I want to be able to play at least one song from start to finish.” I officially graduated to a “four-chord-strummer” and can play several songs.
There were so many other goals achieved; I could fill three pages listing them. Many of these goals were thanks to all you beautiful people who post and share in these forums. I keep reading posts about the forums not being the same as they used to. I’ve never experienced the old forums, but I can say that they have been essential to me even in their present form. Listening to you play, reading about your wins, your questions, and your comments on the dailies have been an invaluable source of inspiration and information. I learned as much from you all as I did from Tony.

Hi @Alisa , I think you have multiple small wins going on right now👍👍 All are awesome wins🤩

In the “Old Forums”, people could post and say anything they wanted, guitar related or not – everything and everyone was always positive. Sometimes certain people would poke fun at other certain individuals and visa-verse. It would always be humorous (not mean spirited) and you could see it happen in different threads. It was easy to join in these threads, and be answered, if you had something tangible to say or add. That’s how I got to meet (virtually) a lot wonderful, knowledgeable, and experienced Wizards, Mentors and Guitar Geeks (that’s how members were differentiated) on this site. Oh, and did I say they were always very helpful with guitar or music theory related questions? Unfortunately, a lot of these colorful individuals are no longer heard from in the Forums, I think because there was a lot of unnecessary censorship going on with the initial “unveiling” of this current format. That seems to have subsided for now.

I’ve only touched on one aspect in the comparison of Old and New Forums, I’m sure others will want to give their 2 cents 🤔 Anyways Alisa, congrats on all those wonderful #small wins👏👏👏
