I joined and followed Tony’s routine for 6 weeks and then cancelled my membership. I felt Tony’s challenges were skills I was able to reach years ago.

Know what happened? After cancelling, I didn’t pick up my guitar for a week!

Needless to say I’m back. Tony’s program gets the guitar in my lap after my morning coffee EACH day! For me that is EVERYTHING!

The 10 minutes Tony asks for always becomes an hour or more.

Proof that the program works and I’m back to stay!!

    Thanks Tony!

Agree 100% that the daily inspiration to play guitar is probably worth the membership price all by itself. I’m still learning new things from the challenges, but I also enjoy interacting on the forums with fellow geeks. Plus, Tony’s Fretboard Wizard course has been a huge boost for my understanding of music theory, which makes me want to take the guitar journey even further than I originally thought I wanted to go!

Thanks for sharing your experience with TAC and you guitar routine @rudygilbertigmail-com . Great to have you back in the TAC family. Regarding the challenges – sometimes they seem very easy and other times more difficult to me. As pointed out by @GerryB56 , I find there is always something to learn. Thanks for sharing your inspiration!

I really appreciate this post. I, too, am struggling with staying or leaving. I have to make a decision tomorrow or next day. May I ask, who did you talk to about canceling (how do you do it?) and did it cost the same amount to come back? I will probably come back later, if I do decide to leave. Thanks Rudy (and all!).

It’s funny you should say that. I signed up for the TAC emails but didn’t join for awhile. I’d keep seeing the emails pop up like a little reminder that I could have actually made some progress toward a regular guitar habit in all the time I spent ignoring the emails. I just joined last week and have found it really helpful in making the process fun and sustainable, at least so far.

I’m curious about at what point you felt like you’d sort of “been there, done that” because I have stopped and started playing many times and have never really felt that way. Usually when I’ve quit it’s been due to getting frustrated in combination with some external event that physically makes it impossible to follow the routine, not because I feel any kind of mastery…
