Added a new guitar to my family a Taylor 562 12 string

I bought a used Taylor 562 12 string. Tony has shown this guitar on a couple of his Acoustic Tuesday shows. It’s only a couple of years old and in excellent condition. Plays like a dream. Easy on my fingers. I’ve only played a couple of strummed songs on it so far. The guitar store I got it from gave me 45 days to decided if she’s a keeper. I only needed 1. She stays.

  Thanks, I love the brown finish. I have to sit down with her and see how it goes. But, it really is easy on your fingers. I was amazed. I had a 12 a long time ago and it was like holding down razors. Maybe not quite that bad, but you know what I mean.

  Thank you @Kitman , it really does look nice. I tried to finger pick on it, so that will need a little practice. But, to strum a song really sounds great.

  Thanks @Philb, I want to learn to play ‘Early Morning Rain’ by Gordon Lightfoot. He used a 12 string with that song. It is supposed to be an easy song but i find the strumming pattern kind-of weird and really fast.

    You’ll get it. Just chip away at it a little at a time; or use a pattern that works for you. You should post it once you feel comfortable with it.

Congrats on your new 12 string. 12 strings really enhance your sound and extend the range of your creativity. Taylor 12s are so incredibly playable, a great choice.

Fantastic! Every time I think of a 12string I immediately go to the Roof Top Singers’ version of “Walk Right in” from the 60s. Have fun with it
