But no soul to believe

Have the heart of a kind man

With no love left to greave

Tears don’t flow, prayers denied

Is it’s all just a state of mind

Everything is different now, yet all the same

Everything continues, but nothing remains

A faltered future, for love unclaimed

Honored I knew her, a love sustained

Do we ever know anyone, anyway

Do we truly know anyone, anyway

Blessed with visions of a dreamer

But memories fade away

Foretell prophecy like a psychic

Yet no gift to convey

Ask the scholars of ages

About love, betrayal and regret

Why strive to live forever

And why can’t we forget
