  • Branching out…..or living on the edge

One of the zillions of things I love about tac is the unbridled encouragement it offers. Not just by saying it but also by inferring it daily. You can make mistakes and grow from them all in the warmth of the group . Today I’ve decided to mess with triads. I don’t know a triad from a bicuspid, but I’m sure going to make try at it. Whether I use them or not I’ll be learning.before tac I would never have adventured out of my cocoon. Thanks 🙏

    Fred-

AT LEAST one very wise person in here has said that being right on the edge of your ability is where the most learning happens- (or something close to that).

Only practice stuff that’s too tough and risk discouragement(?)— or practice only what you know and risk boredom.

I see it as a thin line I have to walk every day— but I love it. I try to strive for balance of some kind, and hope my “overall guitar-learning” is getting better– in trusting the TAC process.

Yes- it is sometimes difficult to see progress. The same very wise people have said to record and/or video yourself every month or three– to SEE and HEAR your improvement over time.

All that blubber said- my opinion is —— keep pushing and stretching.

    Reading your posts is inspiring.

As usual, again, you state the solution so well. One would think you are a coach or something, TOC. Thanks . So well put.
