Can't Take It With 'Ya
Posted by James on April 14, 2023 at 11:22 pmThat is what my late Dad USMC WWII Vet always told me.
Put a deposit on a Mule Mavis tonight.I have admired that guitar since it was first announced and thought it was cool and a very innovative guitar design.
Thanks to Tony for putting this innovative Builder on my radar.
Being from Michigan in my earlier years makes me even prouder to support Matt and his Company!!!

You Dad was right. You will have to post us a song of you playing that Mule once delivered and practiced. I look forward to it.

Thanks, have to figure out how I want it built.Want the cutaway for sure, but am considering the f hole option as opposed to that aged Pickguard, which looks really nice.
Will be playing it more Unplugged like Tony says he does.Have to research that some more as to how I want to configure it.
Any suggestions on that from anybody that owns or has played a Mavis would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Congratulations, you will love your Mule! Great guitars and a great investment in my opinion. Have a resonator, possibly a Mavis in my future as well, those are really cool. Please post the build pictures they will send you and of course the final product.

Thanks John, appreciate the kind words. Looking forward to all of this during the build process!!!

Update to this OP. I decided to go with the Traditional Cutaway and F-Hole on the Mavis. No Volume and Tone Controls either,as I am will be playing it more Unplugged, and just use the knobs on my Amp to control those tones from there when needed.
Prompt communication from Matt as well.Much appreciated!
Have a great Memorial Day weekend TAC Family, and please pause and remember about what this Holiday signifies.

Grabbed my coffee mug and first thing I see this morning is Matt from Mule informing me that my Mavis is strung up and ready to go.
It has been sinking in slowly today, but I am really pumped about this guitar.Top Notch business to deal with as well.Kept me well informed through the entire process.
Thanks to all at Mule!!!

I like the vintage tuners. The back is unique. Not really a satin or gloss finish, or the photo just doesn’t catch the true sheen. ‘What type of wood is the back made if? Is it smooth or grainy feeling?
