Current streak
Could someone help me answer this question. If I login every day religiously and my current streak just say is 31days and I know I have gone longer than that at times, it reverts back to one day or 2 days. Not a big deal just wondering why.

Welcome to the TAC community! I’m not really sure of the exact answer to your question. Over the years there have been times where it’s dropped off completely and then they fix it, and they say that they are showing the true numbers but I stopped looking at it a long time ago. I think it is too easy to become distracted by the number. If you’re true to yourself, and you know in your heart that you’ve played more, then you’re in a good place. But if you would like an answer to your question my suggestion is to click the link at the bottom that says contact support and you’ll send message, and Victoria will get back to you very quickly with an answer to that question

<div>Thanks Lorraine it’s not really a big deal. I was just curious. There are days when I cannot get to my Guitar because of my work schedule or just physically exhausted, but I still listen religiously to each lesson. I will work on each lesson in time.</div>

It happens to me all the time as well. Tonight in fact. What is weird…it will count the next day (Tuesday in my latest case). All my lessons are marked complete..but the counter is broken. What drives me nuts is I keep getting told they are “working on it” but nothing ever gets fixed. I know it seems like a little thing, but I guess I am still tied to the old days of TAC where Tony used to give away a Taylor GT mini when you had perfect attendance as it where for the quarterly progress meetings. They would throw a dart at a chart with all who had it. I never won..but still…my OCD is now in place and I want an accurate count running.

<div>Thanks for your reply! I completely understand. I was just wondering why one day it was one thing and the next it was another. I am only a TAC member coming up on a year I think in August. I try to play for the most part every day. And when I do play, Tony’s acoustic challenge is the first thing I listen to to brush up on things I learned in the previous week or the week of. As you said all my lessons are marked complete. When I go to the site it still tells me I’m down to one or two but that’s Okay. I know I played and in the long run it’s only for my enjoyment anyway it’s my sanity.

There might be a current glitch. On 7/16/25 and 7/17/25 the site has not recognized my logging in and playing session completion and reset the streak counter to 1 and it has stayed there two days in a row. But the TAC team is good about fixing stuff and the status of the counters does not negate the value and fun and improvement in my hammer on practice. Nice chord progression this week.

I too have lost a number of streaks for unknown reasons. And it’s true that it’s a small thing, but keeping the streak alive is a tiny motivator too so I understand when a member is thrown a little when it vanishes.
I’ve made a point of clicking on the Acoustic Challenge logo at least once a day; this takes you to the home page where you can verify your session count and streaks.
