This last Saturday was definitely a #smallwin for me. I played half a set of rhythm guitar with my friends Renaissance band at a stage in our campground at Sherwood Forest Faire. Unfortunately, no video, but it was a blast! Minstrel Rav’n is his band name & as they play a lot of songs in the key of G, it gave me an opportunity to play 4 songs in open G tuning with a little slide included on the last song. I played 3 songs on my Michael Kelly 10 string, then the last with slide on my PRS SE A40. Open G sounded really good combined with an octave mandolin, bass, & drums! Very inspiring to me to get the opportunity. I’m the 2nd from the right in the group photo & on the right in the stage picture. This will be a fond memory for a long time.
