You got me on this one! I saw Stevie in concert last summer for the first time. She was w/ Billy Joel. It is the very first time I ever cried when someone walked out on stage. LOL.. Thank you for this one <3 Nice finger pickin!

I have actually been trying to learn this one (and also Dreams) … I just don’t have the finger picking down yet.

Hi Tricia! thanks for watching and glad you liked it. That must have been a great concert with those two musical icons! Its a fun song to play and i think very beautiful. Keep practicing, get all the chords down, go slow…and enjoy the journey. Once I get the pattern figured out (this song is a Travis pick) I’ll just sit on one chord at a time and do it over and over…that helps to get the pattern under the fingers…once i got it down then I’ll start focusing on the chord transitions and the flow. Another great job of finger picking and thumb control. The thumb is the anchor for sure. I have been trying to get through the skill course of Tonys’ for finger picking. It is helping but years of bad habits are hard to break. Again good job.

My advice is to start with a simple pattern that you like and stick with that for awhile. Play it over one chord at a time over and over and over…go slow at first and before long you’ll be playing it without thinking. Enjoy the journey brother and thanks again:)
