Four Years Already
Fourth TACiversary. When I started in May 2020, I wasn’t sure I would make it 4 weeks. After a short time, the daily incremental improvements were like a ball rolling downhill. The motivation becomes intrinsic. My goal for the 5th year is to become more musical, by learning and perfecting songs front to back, playing with others and developing better soloing skills. Also to achieve some basic competencies in singing (although I was dealt a short hand in the raw materials for that). On we go . . . .

Aloha @DrBrow, couldn’t have said it better myself … and I should have said last Thursday when I started my 4th year. I’m transition to the whole song motif, preparing custom arrangements, moving keys around to suit my skills, occasionally personalizing the lyrics … and avoiding vocalizations at all costs. It seems B-flat is the only key I can sing in because every time I sing, somebody says “Oh Brah … you B-Flat!”
Congratulations on having fun, and then realizing you picked up a little about music while you were at it.

Thanks Kona Bruce and congrats to a fellow 4 year. Sounds like you started to find something to do in the COVID deprivation period, like I did. Ironically I was drinking Kona Long Boards this weekend. Keep it up. Aloha from New Jersey.
