I started here Sunday. I watched Videos talking about playing the blues. I am like Tony are you sure we playing the blues? When he said it doesn’t have to be perfect but work toward perfection. Then he said another no-no word TABS. I have gone over and over TABs sadly never got it……..Forward to today. First thing this morning had to get shot in my neck for the pain. It’s all good no worries. I finally got back home at noon. I sat in my computer chair and fell asleep. An hour later I woke up and watched the video on the Blues 12 bar again. You are so not going to believe this, I can’t myself yet, I played through the whole song once today nice and slow, and clean. On top of that, I figured out how to read the TABs. The main issue I had was which fingers to use, well, still have issues when we go above the 4th fret like 7th, etc. If anyone has a suggestion for that I be happy to hear from you. (Didn’t mean to be so negative but that were issues that held me back from playing anything )

    Thanks God Bless

Wow, your name, a woman having fun. Keep picking up the guitar like Tony says, 10 minutes a day on bad days and on good days as long as you want. In the beginning, there ups and downs, ebbs and flows.. keep playing, I am five years into this journey and still feel intimidated playing in front of others. Enjoy! 🎸 🎶

@GGG_GrannyGoneGangster Welcome to TAC! Congratulations on several wins – playing through the 12 bar blues cleanly and learning to read the tabs. You’re definitely on your way! Keep up the great work. As for going past the higher frets, that will simply become easier as time goes on. Just keep up with the lessons and practice a minimum of 10 minutes per day, and things will become clearer and easier as you go forward. It’s a journey, not a destination to learn the guitar. 🙂

Thank you for your advice and you are right I need to keep at it for sure. I am going to. I am already looking at buying a guitar which I will have to save up for a few months.
