That’s a raw version. Lots of power and force. Today is the 60th anniversary of the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Lots of force and power came out of the 60’s.

When I was a boy it was legal to have segregated establishments. Guess I’ve seen the rain.

I missed the 60,s not by much and the tapes I bought were always old and greatest hits or best of something. Biggest bang for a buck multiple hits instead of 1 or 2. So I almost wore out my CCR tape never thought I would ever play sing them so glad I pursued music again. You can relate more to the Summer of 69 song post I did here Thanks for listening in and commenting glad you did.

Nice job KevinZ! That was a really ballsy version. You even look a little like John Fogerty. i wish i could strum and sing along in rhythm as well as you can. you did a great job keeping the singing and strumming rhythm together!

Thanks @peter_m I would like to pay forward some advice. I struggled with the beat seems like forever they say use a metronome. I tried but singing knowing the chords keeping time was to much for my brain hand dexerity issues. So I rethought how can I get over this 1st I learned stumming in 2/4 3/4 4/4 6/8 played simple chords or muted the guitar. Until I could get that down then I worked on finger pick patterns doing the same thing with flat and finger pick. Then I got some advice buy a drum app but that didnt have what I wanted chords drum other instruments. Tried playing with bands but they dont like having novice skilled people. So I researched found Chordify it plays the tracks in time from the original along with vocals. Shows chords and keyboard layout and has drums and other instruments. Strum with the track first until the chord changes strumming match the track. When I get that far I work on vocals by memory then do the whole song by memory and how it sounds to me. Some I do acoustic some electric rock effects when I get all of that I decide acoustic electric or piano. I use the music to make my mind work throw in some improv note solos and start to post some I get in 3 tries some take way more before I get a postworthy take. Music is a journey I hope by telling you this you dont go through all the frustration I did. So thanks for listening in and commenting hope it helps.

Way to get out your inner John Fogerty @KevinZ , that was awesome! The enthusiasm and energy that you displayed reminded me of watching old CCR performance vids from Ed Sullivan, MTV and other TV shows. And the fact that you had FUN doing it is outstanding. Please keep it up my friend, I truly enjoy watching and listening!

Thanks @Bill_Brown the jump from Elvis style to CCR took me awhile to get down. Now that I can do it. Rock music is in my grasp my goal see if I can mix up both. Also did Friends In Low Places so country twang is in my grasp. Did Im So Lonesome I could cry Hank style Opens up many songs and multiplys my challenge with music ten fold. I know it sounds silly but I want to dip my toes in all those waters and do it all again with piano and have it sound good. Not to high a bar to set ha ha. But I never stop learning have setbacks but love to push it. Thanks for listening in and commenting Bill very glad you did.
